Dilema Solved

Hi. After much consideration and thought I decided to write a Christmas letter. All 124 letters are ready to be mailed. I am so blessed as my sweet husband helps me with the whole process. We hope you enjoy it.
We have had a good weekend shopping, cooking, wrapping, packing, and resting. Brian has not felt to great this weekend, but seems to be feeling better now. We are getting ready to go to TX!!!!!!! Yea!!! Two work days and one day to get ready and then get on the airplane early on Thursday!
I received a new cute holiday shirt from my Mom and Grandmommie. I wore it this weekend and want them to see that I love it! Thank you so much for the cute shirt!
Enjoy your week! Later taters,

Christmas Card dilema

Hi friends. Here it is Dec. 14 and I have not done one thing to get my Christmas cards ready. Usually by now I have mailed all 100 of them. Not yet this year. I can't decide if I want to do a letter or if want to send a holiday photo card or both!! Yikes, decisions, decisions!!! If these are my biggest issues I have nothing to complain about. Tonight my sweet husband changed out of his comfies into regular clothes again to try to get a Christmas picture for cards, although I didn't like any of them. So now you can get a sneak peak, although I may not use any of these. I love our new camera and self timer on it!
Thank you for praying for Brian's mom, Carol Ann. She is doing well. She had her first round of chemo. this week and seems to have done well.
Very Recent Blessing: When we are in TX we will be able to borrow my sister and brother in law's car! Yea! This will save us a substancial amount of $ while we are there! Thanks sis and bro!!! We appreciate you!!! We are so looking forward to our trip. Only 6 more days and then I can hold my niece and nephew!!!!! I still have a lot to do to get ready!
Tonight we had a Christmas program at our school and it was so great! Our work environment might not be the greatest, but the kids are! I love those kids!
Thanks for listening to my ramblings! Enjoy these last few days before we celebrate our Saviour's birth! Love to all!!

Precious Pics and Prayer request

Hi all! Here are more precious pictures of my niece and nephew! Can't wait until Dec. 21 when I can hold both of them.
Thank you for praying for Carol Ann, Brian's mom. She started her radiation therapy yesterday. She will have radiation 5 days a week for 6-7 weeks and chemo. therapy one day a week. She wants to work and resume normalcy as much as possible. Can't wait to love on her too when we get to TX! Thank you for praying for her strength during this new journey.
All is good here in CO. No snow to report this week. Just a little cool. We have two Christmas parties this weekend and more shopping to do before we head to TX on Dec. 21. We have adopted three children for Christmas and we are enjoying shopping for kids in need.

More Pics of Niece and Nephew

Hi. My brother-in-law's parents sent these new pictures of Madeleine and Mason to me this week. Pat and Glynn(David's parents) said Mason heard his Aunt Trina is coming to town and that is why he is smiling so big! I love it! On Dec. 21 I will be holding him for 4 days straight. All hands off, he's mine when I get to TX! I can't wait to meet him and play with Madeleine Grace. Let the spoiling begin! I bought him a very cute outfit today.
We finished another work week. Yea! We are so grateful for the weekend. We hope to see Brian's cousin and family who are visiting his cousin in Denver this weekend. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow so it all depends on the weather.
Have a good weekend. I will blog more soon!
Love to all!

Snow day!
Yes, it is snowing here again. Wow! It is still so amazing to see it no matter how many times it snows. After living in TX our whole lives the snow still amazes us. School is closed today as it has been snowing all day and the high temperature is 18degrees. We went out in it just a few mintues ago to dust off the car and sidewalk. The snow is like powder. It is wild. We are thinking of going to rent a movie and drive in a little bit. Hope all of you are doing well. We here the same cold snap is headed to Dallas. Enjoy!
Please continue to pray for Brian's mom. It is looking like she will start radiation therapy on Wednesday, Dec. 6th. She will have radiation therapy for 6-7 weeks with chemo therapy one day a week. Thank you for your prayers. We love you, Mom!

New blog features
Greetings friends,
We had a great time off from work. This week we went geocaching, shopping, to a movie and hung out with friends. We learned a new game called "Pit". It is a very fun game! I added a few new things to the blog with the help of my friend Heather. It was great to visit with her on the phone and learn a few new things about blogs. Thanks Heather!!! See if you can find the new things. Unfortuately we must return to work tomorrow. I am sad to say we have the "Sunday Night Blues". We don't want to go back to work tomorrow. Oh well, we will survive. We hope you all have a blessed week!

Hi everyone! We are so very grateful for so very much! It is such an honor to see God work in our lives and the lives of those we love! We hope you all had an amazing, great turkey day! We spent the day with the Dunn family-eating, laughing, playing games, and watching football. Here are a few pics from the day! The potatoes turned out great! Thanks for all the tips! Love to all!

God story!
Hi friends and family!!! Happy Thanksgiving! Not too much is happening here! I am blogging so my friend Heather does not kick me out of the blogger world. :) We are glad to have a few days off from work to rest and play. We went geocaching again today. Found one and didn't find the other. Oh well. I did remember this neat story as I read our church's weekly update email today and thought I would share.
Here’s a cool God story… On Saturday, November 11th, we had our second episode of the Amazing Race Geocaching (a spin off we have done from the show Amazing Race and the hobby of Geocaching… basically racing to find all the “treasures” first). One of the things that we had to do in order to finish the race was help people at one of the local grocery stores load their groceries into their cars and then give them a box of Revelation mints or an invitation to the church. I thought this would be hard, but I really enjoyed it. Well, this past weekend one of the ladies that my team helped actually came to church!! She sounds interested in the church and said that once they get settled in (which may not be until early January) they would like to start attending regularly. So we’ll see how that goes… her husband is a chaplain for the army and will be stationed at Fort Carson.
We will be spending tomorrow with the Dunn family and I am taking mashed potatoes. I have never made mashed potatoes from scratch so hopefully they will turn out ok! Wish me luck! I will post pictures soon. To our precious family: We miss and love you tons!

Thank you for your prayers and update!!!
Hello family and friends,
Thank you for your prayers for our sweet family! Brian had a great trip to TX last weekend and made it home safely to me on Sunday. I didn't realize how much I would miss him, but I am sooooooooo grateful he was able to be with his mom and sweet family for awhile.
Thank you for your prayers for Carol Ann, Brian's mom. She had a lung function test and PET scan this week. She also saw an oncologist this week. It was determined that surgery is not a good option due to other respiratory problems. She will begin radiation therapy for 5 days a week for 6 – 7 weeks soon. Please continue to pray for her.
All is well here. We are resting on this beautiful Saturday. We are looking foward to a two day work week and time to rest on this Thanksgiving Holiday.
As we reflect upon all that we are thankful for, we are very grateful for all of our friends and family who have loved and supported us in a new journey! We love you all!
Have a great weekend. I will try to blog more often.

Prayers answered and more prayer requests
Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for your prayers for Brian's mom, Carol Ann. As many of you know the drs. found a mass on her lung and they did a biopsy this past Friday. Over the weekend her lung collapsed and she was omitted into the hospital. She is now doing a little bit better as she went home today. The results from the biopsy showed a slow growing cancer. The drs. will complete a cat scan next week to determine more about the mass. Right now her drs. are more concerned with her lung capacity.
Brian went to TX this week on a free ticket from a friend of CarolAnn's! Praise God! God works in amazing ways! He never ceases to amaze me! I specifically prayed last Wed. that if God wanted him there with his family that he would pave the way and within 24hrs. this friend called! Wow!! I pray his time will be sweet with his precious mom and family!
Thank you for your continued prayers for Carol Ann and her health. We love you all!

Introducing Mason David Cox!

It is with great pleasure that I introduce my nephew, Mason David Cox. I hear he is precious and I think so from looking at the pictures! I can't wait to get my hands on him and formally introduce him to his Aunt TaTa who will spoil him rotten! I love Madeleine's sweet little face as she is hugging him in this picture. My mom says she is crazy about him and just loves all over him like I did and still do Tammi. When we were little Tammi used to say, "Trina, could you please stop kissing me?" I think Mason is in for a lot of kisses.
Please pray for my sweet sister as she is having terrible heachaches after the epidural(spelling unknown). She had a doozy of a time with the epidural and is now having a headache from it. Please pray for her healing.
All is good here in CO. The snow is finally starting to melt and we returned to the working force today. I hosted Ladies Night Out-Bunco at our house tonight! It was so fun. I love hosting bunco! It is a blast! I will post those pics tomorrow. Have a blessed night!

Blizzard and New Nephew on the Same Day!!
Hello friends! I am the proud aunt of a new baby boy! My sister safely delivered Mason Cox into the world today! Praise God!! It was about time he joined us! He weighs 8lbs. 9 oz. and is 20 inches long. As soon as the family sends me pictures I will post them. It has been hard for me not to be there today, but God is so good to bless our family with a little boy.
There was a blizzard here in Colorado Springs. We got about 18-24 inches of snow and had many drifts everywhere. We did not have school today so we rested and watched the snow! It was amazing. Here are a few pictures of us shoveling the snow, mainly Brian.
We hope all is well with all of you! T and B

Snowing again!

Hi friends and family! We dismissed school today in the snow! It is beautiful! Just thought you would want to know. I know in Texas it is still hot.
All is good here. We went on The Amazing Geocache Race organized by some friends from church this weekend! We had a blast! We raced four other teams to find all of the geocaches. We even had a detour just like on the show the Amazing Race. The detour was to go door to door asking people for food items to donate to a local food pantry. Talk about taking me out of my comfort zone. Wow. It was fun. Brian and I came in 3rd place. Brian said he saw a new side of his wife, a competitive side. I wanted to win. I will post pictures when I can. I was too busy trying to win instead of taking pics, but someone else took some.
Love to all!

Surprise Visit to Texas!!!

Hello friends,
I had an amazing weekend in Texas! I surprised my whole family by arriving in Texas on Saturday morning. No one in my family knew I was planning the trip. It was my sister's 30th birthday and there was a baby shower for her. It really was a God thing for me to be able to go. I prayed a few weeks ago for God's will and for Him to make a way for me to be able to go if that is what I was supposed to do. The very next day Brian found a bargain airfare that we could not pass up and it was exactly on the weekend I wanted to go! So we booked it and we called Brian's mom to see if she could pick me up from the airport. She graciously volunteered to pick me up before I could even ask her. My flight was delayed a little on Sat. morning, but it all worked out. CarolAnn took me straight to the baby shower for my sister. The shower was already in motion and my sister, mom, and grandmother were sooooooooooooooo surprised! The could not believe it!! My sister was so blown away! We had a great time at the baby shower and then hanging out the rest of the day. Tammi's husband threw her a surprise pajama 30th b-day party on Sat. night(hence the pj pictures) On Sunday my mom and I went to McFBC to surprise more friends there. It was so great to see all of you there. I miss you all more than words can say. Sunday afternoon Mom and I went shopping and had a blast. I got to go to my favorite clothing store that we do not have here(Cato). Sunday night went to dinner with the family for sister's dinner birthday. Then on Monday I was able to hang out with Madeleine, Tammi and Gigi for awhile! It was an amazing, wonderful, needed weekend! I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who knew I needed a "family fix" and graciously sent me "home"! Thanks, honey! I love you!
I hope you enjoy seeing the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them! Thanks for listening to all my blog weekend details. Take care and love to all!
I can't get blogger to post more than one picture. I will keep working with it.

Happy Anniversary Revelation Church

Hello friends,
We had a very blessed, rejuvenating, awesome weekend at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park celebrating God's goodness to our church over the past year. 80% of churches do not make it past the first year and Revelation Church has been a church for one year now. Praise God! Almost all of the families in the church went to the retreat/anniversary celebration. We shared meals, fellowship, incredible worship and lots of fun together! We had amble free time on Sat. to play or rest! We chose to go geocaching! It snowed while we were there and we saw some wildlife! The elk come down from the mountains in the fall and roam the town. Wild! So here are a few new pictures from our digital camera that died this weekend(so we will be returning it on Monday and searching for a new one) Although, I loved taking the pictures and seeing it right then and now I can blog them right away. :)) I could only post 3 pictures for some reason. :)
Lessons from God: God reminded me in such a tangible way this weekend that He and He alone deserves my praise and worship even when I am in a trial. We sang "Still I will Worship You" on Sat. night and I was struck by the words "When you move in a way that I would not have planned, still I will worship you!" I know God has us at our jobs right now for a reason and even though I don't know God's master plan, still I will worship Him and I will stand and proclaim that He is my God!
We pray that you have a blessed week!

Hello bloggers!
Hello fellow bloggers,
HI!!!! I think the only person that checks our blog regularly is Heather, so here is an update for you! We started school this week!! Finally! It has been an adventure as we don't have a buiding yet and our school is meeting at a church. We take everything down and make it look like a church again every Wed. and Fri. We have come the conclusion that our worlds are reversed: our school meets in a church and our church meets at an elementary schoool! Craziness! It was a challenging week, but by Thurs. and Fri. both Brian and I realized there is a reason we do what we do: teach!! Because we do love kids!!!
We are very blessed that for four weeks in a row we get to see TX folks! Last week we saw my grandmother who was here for one night in CO Springs. Last night we saw my cousin and her husband who was also here visiting. Next week we get to see a friend of mine who I used to teach with in McKinney. Then the next weekend we will see Brian's aunt and uncle from Dallas. We feel so blessed!
We are in the process of researcing digital cameras and as soon as I get it I will learn how to put more pics on the blog.
We have a new hobby that we enjoy with our pastor and his wife: geocaching! It is so fun! You use a GPS system and go on a scavenger hunt looking for a treasure! You should all try it! You can go to www.geocaching.com to learn more about it.
We also love continuing to learn lessons God is teaching us! Through our jobs we feel God is teaching us to trust him with everything, including our professions! We know He wants us here and wants us at our new school.
Thanks for listening! Have a fabulous week!

Weekend recap...
Hi friends,
So that I am not a "blogger disgrace", I thought I would give you a CO update. All is good here. The weather is beautiful. We both wore sweatshirts and jeans in August. Who would have thought it?
This weekend we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It is the highest zoo in US. I was fascinated by a seven month old gorilla. He was too cute. We also went to a restaurant called Solo's which is a restaurant in a old airplane. It was fun! I hosted my first ladies bunco event last week here at my house! We had nine ladies here from the church and we had a blast! I will post pictures soon. We are actually researching digital cameras this weekend too. Take care!

More Pics and a CO Update

Hello friends! My friend, Heather, says I need to blog more often! So here goes. Brian and I had a good week. We are still in training for our jobs. We are going to be working at a new charter school that will be opening Sept. 5. We had a good week working 1/2 days. We went shopping one day and tonight we went to a triple A baseball game here in Colorado Springs with Mark and Susan and the Dunn family. They have taken us in as if we are a part of their family. It is very nice! There are fire works after the game on Friday nights. It was great!
Here are a few more Colorado pictures! Enjoy! We went on a 6 mile hike with Mark and Susan a few weeks ago, so this is one picture with their dog on the hike. And a few more of the beautiful scenery here.
I will try to blog more often! Have a fabulous weekend!

Colorado Adventures

We are happy to welcome you to our new blog! This is a way we can post pictures and chat with family and friends. You can create an account and leave comments for us to read or you can continue to email us.
We recently went to Estes Park, CO for our 10 year anniversary. We are very thankful to our Heavenly Father for our marriage. We are so blessed.
It is now official, we are now Colorado residents as we have both cars registered here. It felt very strange to take the Texas license plates off. :)
We hope all is well with all of you! Take care and keep in touch!
