Date Day with Pearson

So every once in awhile Brian and I decide to take the boys out for some 1:1 time and today I got to go on a date with Pearson. He is really starting to understand the concept of a "date" and what it means to be with just one of us. He got so excited when I proposed the idea to him. Pearson said, "You mean just you and me, today?" When I said yes, he said, "Yes!" so excitedly! Then he said, "Can we go the mall?" Sure! So we went on an afternoon date after I worked out. I feel so blessed to have Brian home during the summer to be able to do things like this. It was really fun to watch him alone. He is getting so big and is such a delight!

Pepperoni Roll Ups

I tried another new recipe from my new friend and these pepperoni roll ups were delicious and so easy! The boys gobbled them right up. To all my mommy friends, you must try these ! My boys love all three ingredients separately, so together it was a hit! Just use pepperoni, stick cheese, and crescent rolls! Yummy!

Our 15th Anniversary!

We had a great day celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary! We feel very blessed to be best friends, soul mates, and team mates! God definitely blessed me when he gave me Brian!

We had a great two days relaxing while our children had their very first sleepover with family! The boys did awesome! They didn't even ask or cry for us at all! Yea! I think they had more fun in those two days than they've had all summer so far! My sis and sweet family kept their days filled with so much fun! I am so thankful for family who love our boys so much and love us to give us a break from parenting! We were able to start and finish conversations, relax, and enjoy our quiet house to ourselves! Awesomeness!

Crunchy Whole-Grain Chicken Bites

I have met a new friend who has a recipe blog and tonight I tried this new recipe and LOVED it! The whole family loved this meal! That's always an awesome feeling when everyone eats and when Brian says "This was so good!" Those words are music to my ears!

You should totally check it out if you are needing a new chicken recipe.

Cow Appreciation Day!

So Sis and I decided to dress up like cows and head to Chick Fil A for Cow Appreciation Day. We decided to meet at one 1/2 way for both of us and it was perfect. When we 1st got there no one else was dressed as silly as us and we wondered if everyone else had missed the memo! Thankfully more silly, devoted, Chick Fil A fans entered soon. We enjoyed a free lunch looking like cows and were very grateful and the cousins had a great time together!

The Fourth...

We had a great day celebrating the 4th of July! We enjoyed chilling at home and then we headed over to my parents house for dinner, fun, and fireworks!
The boys sporting their red, white and blue.

All 4 cousins swinging!

We played a fun game called "Hedbands" and Brian was a turkey!

Nana and Papa and the babes getting ready to watch fireworks.

Aaron was so intrigued by the fireworks.
Then he got really tired! So sweet!

Father's Day 2011

So I am a little behind in blogging so here I go to catch up!

We had a great time in June celebrating Father's Day. This year we got to celebrate on 2 weekends!

We are very blessed with an awesome family!

Our Big Boy!

So we decided it was time for Aaron to transition to a "toddler" bed. He has attempted to climb out of his crib a time or two. Here he is excited about sleeping in this bed!
Brian and both checked on his extra times before we went to bed to make sure he was ok. The last time Brian checked on him he came back to into the living room where I was and said "You have got to come see Aaron!" This is what I discovered, our sweet boy had fallen out of his bed and was sound asleep. In true Mommy compassion I laughed and grabbed the camera! Then the sweet Daddy scooped him up and tucked him back in bed. Thankfully he slept the rest of the night and today for a nap without falling.
