Summer Vacation 2008

Here is the awaited slide show! There are over 60 pics(hope you are seated for a long slide show). If you hold your mouse over the pic there will be a caption at the bottom describing the picture.We had a fabulous time while in Texas. On the way to see family we drove through Midwestern State University, our alumni, to discover new signs and new buildings on campus. We spent one week in Greenville and one week in Fort Worth. We caught a stomach/virus bug thing and that was not fun. Pearson threw up for the first time in his life and then we got sweet Nannie sick and then we took it to Fort Worth with us. So needless to say, if we didn't see you this trip, be thankful, you didn't want what we had. Other than that, we did have lots of fun as you can see from the slide show. Pearson had his first swim ever, his first hammock ride, his first teenage babysitter, first geocaching experience with his cousins, and first train ride all in one trip! Brian and I got to go on TWO dates!! It was so awesome!! Thanks Macie and Nana and Papa for watching him!! On the first date we played couples bunco with Tiff and Keith's friends and that was such a blast! On the 2nd date we topped off an Outback gift card and then walked around the mall, only to walk out to discover it was pouring down rain. We knew Nana and Papa were also at the mall with three babes, so we went back in to help them get safely to the car! It was a fun night! We also rode the train ride in Fort Worth that my sister and I used to ride when we were kids! That brought back sweet memories and was a ton of fun too! I also got to go shopping to my favorite Texas store:Cato! Thanks, Mom for going with me! We also had Maddie, Mason, and Pearson's pictures taken at Portrait Innovations. I will have to scan that one for you to see.

A special thanks goes out to Nannie and Tammi and David for hosting us while we were there. You were fabulous hosts!! Thanks for sharing your homes with us!

Home Sweet Home...

Hello friends and family,
We are home now. We were very blessed with a great trip and safe travels. We arrived safely at home this afternoon. Now I need to upload 150 pictures and decide which to ones post or all of them for your viewing enjoyment. So, hang tight friends(AKA, Heather) tons of pics coming soon. In fact, tell me what you think, do you want different posts with pics and details or one huge slide show with tons of pics? What do my blog viewers prefer? Happy Father's Day from Texas!

Hello friends and family,
Greetings from Texas. We are in Texas visiting family this week and next! Yea!

Happy Father's Day to Brian, My Dad, and Brian's Dad! Brian had a great 1st Father's Day. We went to a cookout at his brother's house and I took a ton of pictures that I can't upload right now! Believe me, I am very bummed about this. I have tried and tried and I have not been successful. Stay tuned in case I can get it figured out.

Pearson went swimming for the first time! He seemed to like it. We (Macie, our neice) took a ton of pictures and I can't upload a one. I will keep working on it though.

Guitar Hero!

We went to Heather and Gil's(sweet friends from church) house for dinner on Friday and they introduced us to Guitar Hero. I played too, yes, me! I had a blast, although I am not very good at all. Pearson tried to play too. They even let us borrow it to bring home, needless to say we are addicted. We have both been playing it at home! Enjoy the silly pics!

We also played wii golf and once again my athletic side shined through (NOT!) I had a lot of fun though!

Memorial Park

On Tuesday we went to Memorial Park here in Colorado Springs. It is a huge park with a lake in the middle of it. We had a fun time as a family having a picnic and walking around. We have had a great week with Brian. This is his first week of summer vacation. I am tutoring three days a week and he has high school football practice three mornings a week. So we have Tuesdays and Thursdays completly free to hang out together. It has been nice!

Pearson has recently discovered his tongue and in this picture he had just stuck it out at me and I was trying to get him to do it again for the camera, but oh no, he wanted me to get my picture taken with my tongue out! Fun times!

Healthy Boy and Fun with Friends

Pearson had his nine month well check last week. He is now 21 lbs. and 29 1/2 inches long. He is a happy, healthy boy!

These are our friends Kristen and Matt. We are very blessed to have them in our lives and they will be blessed with a little baby boy in September. This was a few weeks ago at the church baptism.

We were invited to go to Chipolte after church yesterday with friends from church and we accepted. We had a little extra money so we were very blessed to be able to go! We had to sit outside because it was so busy. So we ran back to the house to get Pearson's hat as the sun is intense here. You Coloradians, understand. :))) Thanks Kristen and Matt for inviting us!

We have a fun Monday planned: three tutoring sessions, Baby Time at the library and fun with the Daddy now that he is off. Have a marvelous Monday, friends!
