Thoughts at 2am...
What else should one do at 2am when sleep is overrated? Blog, facebook, think, pray, type.... So here goes. This may be random but oh well, it's my blog right?
As I sit here in this very quiet house and nursery at 2am with the rest of my precious family sleeping, I think, wow life will be much different come Monday. God has so blessed me with the gift of motherhood. At times I am still so overwhelmed with joy and shock that I am a Mommy. I so remember all the years of the painful infertility journey and still wonder why that was the journey, although I know God had a plan and part of that plan was to draw me to Him. Part of the plan had to be to teach me about His sovereignty, grace, and patience. I so want to glorify Him in all that I do and especially in my mothering. May I seek Him and Him alone!
We are still on schedule to go to hospital on Monday at 10:30am and surgery at 12:30pm. Pearson will be in the tender care of his amazing grandparents, aka Nana and Papa. They will join us at the hospital when the baby brother arrives. We have had a good weekend getting last minute things prepared and letting Nana and Papa love on us!
Thank you for joining us on this journey called life, we excitedly await to share with you the next miracle!
Much love from my house to yours,
Trina

More Blessings...
We received more blessings in the mail this week from Aunt Grace and Nannie! Thank you so very much!!! We love, love, love these blankets for our sweet baby boy (I almost typed his sweet name, but caught myself as that is still a surprise)! It is so sweet and touching to our hearts that you both handmade these blankets for him.
This sweet "lovey" on the back of the chair is so precious too that I had to get a pic of it too! Thanks Aunt Tiffany for this one!
All is still going really well at our house. I went to the doctor again this week and all is great. We are just ready for this sweet boy's arrival on Feb. 23rd. Watch the blog that day for the announcement of his arrival. This weekend we just need to wrap up a few last few things for his room. Other than that, bags are packed, notes are written for Pearson and we are ready to meet this baby boy! Thank you all for your love and prayers for us on this journey! I still can't believe that in a very short time we will be parents to TWO precious boys! My heart overflows with gratitude to God for allowing me to be their Mommy!

Surprise Shower at Brian's school

Today Brian's team at his middle school threw us a baby shower that was a surprise for Brian. It was really fun knowing about it all week and him not! He was quite surprised when we strolled into a classroom where he was being detained. Thank you Kristen and the rest of the awesome team for organizing and doing this for us! We are so blessed!
New words!
Pearson is such talker these days!! His newest word melts my heart : "Mama"!!! It is so precious to hear him! He can now say "Dada", "Uh-oh", "no" and "Mama"! He says a lot of other things too that we just don't understand yet! He is so smart, observant, and fun! He can now climb up on the couch and chair. He can point to his nose and eyes and gives tons of kisses! He is also beginning to understand our words. When we say "let's get our shoes" he goes right to the laundry closet where we keep all the shoes. It is so precious. So here is a snapshot I caught of him getting ready to go somewhere this week.

Pampers and Pizza Baby Shower
We were so very blessed on Saturday by our Colorado friends! Two of our friends, Robin and Sally, hosted an amazing "Pampers and Pizza" baby shower for us! We were most definately pampered! We were showered with lots of love, gifts, food, prayer, and diapers! We had a blast! It was a very special day to celebrate our second miracle. Thank you all for blessing our lives so very much! Enjoy the slide show, remember you can see captions by holding your mouse of the pic!
