Happy 2nd Birthday, Aaron!

Well this post is a little late, but better late than never, right?!?!
Our precious Aaron turned 2! It is so hard to believe that our "baby" is no longer a baby! He is such a big boy! He is a pure delight and can be a little stinker at times too, but I won't focus on those things in this post. Aaron loves so many things and especially everything his big brother loves, so deciding on a party theme was a little challenging, but he LOVES Elmo! So we threw him an Elmo party!

The table:

The Elmo cake that I thoroughly enjoyed making. I worked on it all week, literally. I paced myself and started making icing on Monday with my sis and then worked on something each day to finish "him", I mean it on Friday night before the party on Sat. I felt like Elmo and I became BFFs. A part of me didn't want to cut him. hehe! I loved it and would gladly do it again for my one of my boys!

Here we are singing to him.

He was very blessed with so many gifts. We got him a new Bible like his big brother's and when he opened it he said with such glee, "A Bible!" So precious!

Our family pic! We all matched in Elmo gear! So fun!

Mommy and her precious boy!

Nana and her youngest grandchild

Uncle Keith and Pearson concentrating on something.

GG and Aaron

Aaron's sweet cousin, Maddie, trying to get all the hugs in that she can!

Our niece, Macie was able to join us for the day!

We had a blast celebrating the gift God has given us in Aaron! He is sweet, funny, and independent. Thank you to all who love our boy and showered him with blessings for his special day!

My Little Bakers...

So today we had another wonderful snowy, icy day! It is so unusual to have so many of these in TX! We had 4 last week and 1 so far this week! We are loving having the Daddy home more with us since his school has been cancelled!

We decided to bake chocolate chip cookies! I baked 1/2 and froze the other 1/2 for another day! I found a new blog where the author gives a challenge each Wednesday and last week she challenged me to do something kind for a public service worker and I immediately thought of our mailman. We are still fairly new to our neighborhood and I hadn't met him yet, but I had an opportunity to talk to him on Monday! I asked him if I left him a gift in our mailbox would he accept it and he said yes! Made me so happy! So he will be the recipient of our cookies. It always makes me feel so good to give. :)

Here is Aaron and me eating the cookie dough! Yummy! He is so my child loving the sweets and Pearson is so his Daddy's child, took one lick of it and wasn't interested in anymore!

Seriously can't believe I am posting these pics without any makeup on, but this is the real me on the weekdays home with my fam! Why put it on if I'm not going anywhere?

BaBa!

So I decided "Today Is the Day!" that I will begin weaning sweet Aaron of his "Baba", AKA paci! I don't know how he decided that "Baba" would be the word for it, but he did! You know it is the 5th member of this household! When we can't find it Aaron calls for it like it is his friend and like it is going to answer him back! This is an item that I don't leave home without!

So starting today he can have it at nap time and bedtime. The sweet boy will be 2 in a few weeks and I have to start somewhere! I wonder who this will be harder on: HIM or ME?!?! Wish me luck! He tends to SCREAM for it!

So here he is in November praying with his Baba! Prayers will be needed. I'm sure of it!

So here the boys are putting on a performance behind their chair singing a few songs for you! "Today Is The Day" is our family favorite these days! Hope you enjoy!
