Pearson is 11 months old!

Pearson turned 11 months old on July 22. So I am a little late in getting this photo shoot done. Needless to say I am looking forward to the one year professional portrait!!!!! He is so wiggly!!! I don't think one of these turned out well! Oh, well, we get an A for effort! At least he is smiling in many of them!

Sorry, no slide show this month, I could NOT get slide.com to cooperate with me tonight!

Random recent pics..

Pearson found a cowboy hat at some friends house a few weeks ago.Such a cutie!!

We were able to see a full rainbow!!! It was gorgeous!! As many of you know, I LOVE rainbows!!! Thank you God for your promises!!

Tonight Pearson and I went to see Brian's first high school scrimmage. Brian is so excited to be coaching high school football! It is one thing God created him to do. And Pearson has learned to clap, so he was clapping for Daddy's team. There will be more pics of us at more football games I am sure. We are sure proud of you, Brian. I know this is a dream come true for you. We love you and support you in your coaching! We will be at many games to cheer you and your team on!

Library time

We went to the library on Monday. Brian was able to go with us as it was his last Monday of the summer to be off. :(( We had a great time. Other moms of younger babies were surprised by how mobile and busy Pearson is. I just laughed on the inside and thought, get ready. I know many of you out there reading are probably wanting to tell me to get ready for the toddler and preschool years. :))

There was a helping dog there that Pearson pet. He hasn't been around very many animals, but he did great!

Baby Shower for Kristen

On Saturday I helped host a baby shower for my sweet friend Kristen and her upcoming baby boy! We had a great time showering her with blessings and playing fun games. I was also very blessed that my sweet boy was being well taken care of by my sweet friends Rich and Robin. Pearson did not cry again when I left! Yea! You can see he had a great time without me!

And my wonderful husband came home from a business trip on Sat. night! He was gone Wed.-Sat! So all in all Sat. was a fabulous day! I don't know how single mommies or mommies whose husbands travel a lot do it! I missed him so much and am so happy he is home now.

Dancing with Elmo

Here is a video of Pearson dancing with Elmo earlier this week. His sweet "oxygen" pads have now fallen off. Enjoy!

Happier times...

Look at these cute curls!!

Pearson seems happier! Yea! Today I gave up the fight in keeping him out of all the kitchen cabinets. This will now be "his" cabinet. I am trying to upload a really cool video, but blogger is giving me trouble. Will try again later. Have a great night!

Also, we went to the pediatrician yesterday and we will give Pearson his breathing treatments for the rest of the week and watch him closely for wheezing. The dr. thinks he could have had a virus. He could wheeze up to 2 years b/c he had RSV a few months ago. My "mommy" conclusion is that he will need extra TLC and monitoring when he gets a cold or a runny nose.

We're home now!

Hello amazing friends, family, and faithful blog readers,

There are more of you out there reading my blog than I knew! How special! I truly appreciate all of your prayers, comments, emails, and phone calls. We are home now. We were discharged around 11:15am today. We had been home 20 minutes and sweet Pearson took a nap. He is still out. Bless his sweet little heart. He is doing better. His breathing is not as labored now, no more wheezing, and he is off the oxygen. He did come home with a prescription for breathing treatments. So we will learn how to do those this afternoon. We will have a follow up appt. with our pediatrician this week.

Please continue to pray for us as Brian and I are exhausted. I guess the reality of our baby being sick has set in for me and I have been crying a lot today. So pray I rest and my emotions calm down.

To those of you who have called or emailed us I will return calls and emails soon, please be patient with me. Here are a few pics of him in the hospital. Enjoy!

An Update on Pearson....

Hi sweet friends and prayer warriors,
I am so thankful to have this link to all of you. I knew you would pray for our sweet little boy. It is Sunday evening and I came home to quickly shower, wash my face, grab a few more things from the house, and give you all a quick update. We did see the dr. this morning and he decided to keep Pearson in the hospital for another day. He wanted to watch his pulse oxygen levels and his breathing. He has had a fairly good day. He continues to receive breathing treatments and oxygen. His spirits are good, such a happy baby! And he has slept a lot today, which is good, because in the past 24-48 hours he hasn't. His wheezing has declined and his breathing is not as labored. We will see the dr. again tomorrow and go from there. I will update when I can. I am taking my camera to the hospital tonight to at least get one picture to document this whole ordeal!

Much love to you all and once again thanks for praying for us!

Prayer request for Pearson

Hey everyone, this is Tammi, Trina's sister. Trina and Brian are asking that you please pray for sweet baby Pearson. He was admitted at Pinrose Community Hospital around 7:00 last night. He was having some labored and rapid breathing and they said to take him to the ER. Last night he had a total of five breathing treatments. He is on oxygen right now and they are waiting on the doctor to come and talk to them. They have no idea what is causing all of this and are anxious to see the doctor. She thinks his RSV could be back, but are not sure. They have no phone reception in the hospital and she said she will put a post on the blog to update everyone when they get home.

I hope that this posts because many of you know, I am not blogger literate! She had to let me off the phone to go tend to sweet Pearson, so I am one my own. Hope this works. :)

Free Chick Fil A breakfast this week!

I don't know if all Chick-Fil-A's are serving free breakfast this week, but the one in C/S is!!! We went this morning and it was absolutely free, no purchase necessary!!! That's what I call a sweet treat!! Each day they are giving away a free breakfast item, 1 per customer! I tried to look online to see if others were doing this too, but had no luck! So I at least thought I would let my local blog readers know about it. Enjoy a free breakfast every day this week!

Happy 12th Anniversary to us!

Today marks a special day for us. Brian and I have been married for 12 years today! We have had the joy of being best friends, husband and wife and now parents together. We are truly grateful to God for our history and journey together.

B, I love you dearly and hope today is a special day for you. Thank you for being an awesome husband, amazing friend, and great daddy! I hope you always know how dear you are to me! Thank you for 12 great years!!! I love you!!!!

We had a great date night! A very sweet family at our church watched our little dumplin' for us. They blessed us so much! Thanks, Heather and Gil. They even took pictures of his whole night! Will post those soon. He had so much fun and didn't cry when we left. Yea!

Here is Pearson with Heather before we left! Thanks again!

We went to dinner at Front Range BBQ. It was delicious! Exactly what we both wanted. Then drove around a little bit, had desert at Cold Stone and picked up our sweetie by 8:30. Our friends told us to stay our later next time! We had a great night!

Camp What-A-Nut

We went to the play area at Focus on the Family yesterday! It is so cool! The baby/toddler area is called Camp What-A-Nut and looks like a camp site! Pearson loved it! He crawled around and played! It was a warmer day in Colorado Springs(92 degrees, that's hot for us) so we needed a fun free place to play and Focus had it all for us. We were headed to the mall to play and then remembered this area, so fun! I highly recommend it to all my C/S mommies! In fact, I can see some fall and winter play dates there. :))

Zoo fun!

Today we went to the zoo again with our sweet friends Robin and Aubrey! We had a blast! We rode the small choo choo train! We are still very grateful for our zoo membership that was given to us as a Christmas present. Thanks again, sis!

Happy 4th of July!

We hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! We went on a picnic yesterday and then hung out at home. Pearson went to bed super early since he is cutting teeth and was so fussy, so we didn't see fireworks this year. Oh well. Brian planted a new tree in our yard since our previous one died. Today we ran some errands and Pearson fell asleep in the car with his newest toy, his sock, in his mouth. It is the funniest thing!

Here is a video of him taking a few steps with his new push toy!

Pearson is 10 months old!

Our precious boy turned 10 months old while we were in Texas so we took the monthly pictures in the chair when we got home. He is such a busy body it was hard to get a good one of him sitting and smiling, even with the Daddy home this time. Whew!! We can't believe he will be one in less than two months. It has gone by so fast! He is now eating table food, cruising all around the furniture, taking a few steps with help, pulling up on everything, and babbling lots of sounds! We love him so much. Oh, and his newest toy is a sock. You will notice it in most pictures. Much love to all !
