Bedtime stories!

This week we have been reading to Pearson before putting him down to bed. A skill and practice that I want to start early. He is such a joy! Good night all!

Just chillin'

We thought we would see if Pearson could sit up in his stroller without the car seat carrier. He did good. Brian caught a cat nap before small group tonight. :))

Pearson is 5 months old!!

We are so proud of our sweet boy! He is getting so big and is so precious! He can now roll over both ways, eat rice cereal, squeal with delight, and giggle sweetly when Daddy makes funny noises! We are loving parenthood and every precious moment with Pearson!

Hi everyone! We are still here in blogger world! Heather, you are too funny! We made a quick trip to Texas this weekend to see family again as we found great airfare and Brian had Mon. off. I didn't publicize the trip too much as I knew we only had four days there and needed to see family. Hope all friends can understand.

We were able to spend time with Carol Ann-AKA Gammy and Nannie. Please continue to pray for Carol Ann's health and that she can participate in the research study soon. I have felt lead to write a devotional/prayer blog for her. I am working on getting it ready for viewing soon. Keep an eye on my links to the left.

We were also able to see my family for a little while too. We had a good weekend visiting and goofing off! Love to everyone! Hope you enjoy the pics, I didn't have the camera out as much this trip. Sorry! :))

MOPS update and Highchair

Hi friends,

Well I did it! I left Pearson in the nursery for the first time ever this morning at MOPS! He did great when I left him. The mommy on the other hand cried a little at that moment! I didn't know what to do with myself as I walked into the meeting room without him. Then after about an hour and 20 minutes I was paged that I was needed. As I approached the childcare area I could hear him screaming and crying. The moment I held that sweet little boy he stopped crying. Whoo! I love him so much! I snatched him up and went back to listen to the speaker. All in all it was a good morning.

Then this afternoon our friends Robin and Aubrey came over to play.

Then tonight Pearson got to sit in his highchair for the first time. He is so cute! He was a little tired when we took these pictures!

Snow day and Update on Gammy...

Hello fellow friends,
Today Brian had a day off from school due to weather conditions: cold blowing snow this morning. The high temperature today was 15 degrees and the low temperature was 0 degrees. It didn't snow too much so we enjoyed the day and ran a few errands together.

Thank you for your prayers for Brian's mom, Carol Ann. I know a few of you(Heather) would like an update. She has multiple tests tomorrow that she needs to pass to be able to hopefully start treatments next week! So please pray that she passes these tests and she is able to start treatments very soon! Thanks!

You can pray for Pearson and I as I think I will drop him off at childcare tomorrow at MOPS for the 1st time ever!! I am a little nervous about leaving him in the care of someone else who I don't know. We have never left him with anyone besides family and a close friend(thanks, Kristen) !! I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Gammy for this special sweater that was made for my daddy when he was born! I am glad to wear it proudly! Thanks for having it cleaned especially for me! Mommy hung it up in the coat closet with the other jackets. She says I look adorable in it! What do you think?

It has been a marvelous Monday so far! Mommy has gotten alot done around the house already this morning, read her Bible, talked to a friend and Aunt Tam. I have already taken a good nap and eaten well! Daddy went back to work after having the stomach bug for two days last week. We miss him, but are glad he is feeling better to go to work. We are so grateful that Mommy and I didn't get what he had! Praise the Lord! Thank you for protecting us, God!!

Prayer Request

Hello friends and family,

We write with a heavy heart in need of prayers for Brian's mom, Carol Ann, also known as Gammy or Greenville Mom. In December we learned that her lung cancer is back. She is currently trying to begin treatments with a research program. We ask that you pray for her complete healing from the cancer and that she can participate in the research program quickly. She is a fighter and an amazing person who we love very much!

Ready for Church

Here is our little man ready for church. He wore shoes for the first time and looked so cute! We have decided he grew so much in the two weeks we were in Texas! He is getting so big. I cleaned out his closet more today and am amazed at how much he has grown in 4 short months. I don't want the time to go by too fast. I am trying to savor everyday with this precious munchkin!!
