Avocado and Pearson's new cell. phone

Here is Pearson eating his avocado for the 1st time. He seems to like it. I tried to put the camera on the tray of his highchair to video and as you can see that didn't work too well.

I bought Pearson a new play cell phone yeasterday so he can stop chewing on my phone when we talk to family and friends!

Here is Pearson eating bananas for the first time. I'm not real sure what he thinks yet, more ended up on the bib than in his mouth. Brian is coaching wrestling right now so he had a wrestling tournament today. :))

Pearson is 6 months old!

We had a good day together today! Pearson had his 6 month dr. appt. for his check up today. He is now 17lbs and 27 inches long. He is healthy and happy. I took a funny video of him today too, but I am having trouble getting it uploaded. I will try again tomorrow. Good night all!

Pearson's 1st b-day party

Pearson went to his first birthday party for a friend! Aubrey turned one yesterday!! Happy birthday, Aubrey!! We had a great time at her party. She didn't really want to take a group picture. :))

Happy President's Day!!

We had a great day hanging out and shopping! Pearson is such a good boy! He just goes wherever we take him, he is such a trooper! We went to Denver and to the Outlet Shops in Castle Rock and we found lots of great deals for Pearson! Brian spiked his hair (a little hard to tell in the pictures). Hope you all had a great President's day if you had to work or not. Love to all!

Super Sunday again!

We had a great Sunday again! We went to church, made a yummy lunch, and hung out as a family! Here are a few pics of the day! Pearson had another new outfit to wear! I love the hat! Hope you do too!

Oh, by the way the little munchkin has his two bottom teeth coming in!!!!! I can't believe it!! On one hand I am so excited for him and on the other hand, I want my baby to stay a baby!! I know all you moms out there understand!!

And by the way the making of sweet potatoes went well. He will try the first one tomorrow. :)) We will enjoy another day with Brian tomorrow as he has President's Day off!! Yea!! We will head to Denver to pick up my bracelet! Yea!

Here are a few new pics from the past few days. Pearson is so much fun these days! He has eaten carrots this week, hence the "carrot face" picture. His next food will be sweet potatoes. I am going to make them myself on Sunday. I am reading a new book I am excited about called Super Baby Foods. Lots of ideas on how to make your own baby food and great ideas for baby-safe and environmental friendly recipes for household cleaning products and time saving and money saving tips. I'll keep you all posted on how it all goes. :)) Thanks, Laurie for the recommendation.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day friends and family.

We had an awesome day today. It started out in our normal way: me feeding Pearson, Brian getting ready for work, making coffee and eating breakfast and so on. And then we noticed on the news that there were school delays here in CO Springs. So we watched carefully to learn to our surprise that Brian's school district had a 2 hour delay today. So he stayed home longer than usual and hung out with Pearson and I. Pearson took a great morning nap while I got ready and had a great time with the Lord. Later in the day we went to the library( a great free place to go to). We had a yummy dinner at home. Pearson talked to his grandparents today and then Pearson opened his valentine that he got in the mail. :)

Baby Einstein Musical Motion Center

So we did find the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Center that we were looking for at Target. It has lots of fun activities on it and Pearson loves it!

Superb Sunday!

Here are some pictures from a superb Sunday!! We had a great day! We went to church and then ran errands this afternoon!

Sensational Saturday!

We had a great day on Saturday! We went to the Denver area to shop and visit Brian's cousin! We went to the Park Meadows Mall and Babies R Us. We were going for specific purposes to shop for things that we don't have in the Springs. We wanted to get Pearson an activity center/exersaucer, return something to Nordstroms, and go to James Avery. Well needless to say we were 0 for 2. The activity center was not available at Babies R Us and we forgot the item to return at home. Fortunately, we were able to go to James Avery. Nevertheless, we had a great time hanging out at this mall and shopping and enjoying this very nice mall! We enjoyed a great lunch and nice shops! We also went by Brian's cousin's house to see Elizabeth and Sean!







Let me just tell you a little bit about the James Avery trip. Shortly, after Pearson was born my sweet husband said he wanted to add a new "mom" charm to my charm bracelet. With tight funds, I told him he did not have to do this. He said if he won money back on his fantasy football that is how he wanted to spend it. So I relunctantly agreed. And for all my Texas friends, you know there are James Avery's pretty much all over Texas. Well, there is only one in all of Colorado, in Denver. So mission accomplished! So here is the new charm that is being added to my bracelet. It will be soldered on and ready next week, so we will make another trip to get it. I can't wait to get it back. :)))

Fun Friday

Naptime without the Swaddler

Pearson took his afternoon nap today without beng swaddled in his Miracle Blanket. This blanket truly has been a miracle blanket as he has slept like a champ with it. Lately he has been getting out of it on his own. So we are starting to try to sleep with out it. Wish us luck!!

Wonderful Wednesday

Here are a few snapshots from today! We had a great day. We had lunch with Susan and I tutored this afternoon. When Brian got home we took a few snapshots. Pearson is able to hold my "comprehension" ball that I used to use in my classroom. I look forward to when he can read the sentence starters and then talk about books...oh how fun!! (Sorry the teacher in me leaks out quite often!)
