Doing Great in Texas!

Hello friends and family! Just wanted to post a message to say we are doing great in Texas! We are having a blast with our family and our sweet smiley boy! He has been toted all over to see everyone and has been such a trooper! My family is doing well and enjoyed Pearson for a few days and now Brian's family is enjoying him too! We had a great day visiting with friends today at McFBC. I will post tons of pictures when we get home. He has had a camera in his face for days now. Have a happy and safe new year celebration tomorrow!

Pearson is 4 months old!

Superb Saturday!

Today is Pearson's 4 month birthday. We tried to take his 4 month pictures in his chair and it didn't go so well. He was tired and then he spit up all down the front of the outfit! Of course that is the outfit he is wearing to church tomorrow. Thank goodness we have a good washer and dryer that we keep in motion. We will try again tomorrow. :)

We all three decided to sport our slippers and Dallas Cowboy shirts tonight as we chill at home watching DaBoys. Thanks, sis for Brian's new shirt. Hope you enjoy seeing a new one on him! Only one more day before we leave for Texas! Not that anyone (us, Gammy, Nana, Papa, GG, aunts and uncles) is counting!!

Church with Chicks

This past Sunday we had church with chicks(as our worship leader called it all week) with 5 ladies leading worship. I was able to join the ladies for singing! It was so great! As many of you know I love to sing and love worship! It was a great time had by all. Hopefully we will do it again! These are the great ladies I had the honor to sing with!

Thursday update!

Hello friends and family,
We had a good day today! Pearson and I went to get his birth certificate this morning to have it just in case we need it while flying to Texas!! And yes, Gammy and Kate we are very excited about the upcoming trip!!! I started packing Pearson's things and realized his small suitcase just wasn't going to cut it. So Brian will have to go down to the crawl space(Gammy's favorite part of our house) to get another suitcase.

Pearson had his 4 month checkup this afternoon. He is growing and doing well. He now weighs 14lbs. 7oz. and is 26 inches long. He got his second round of shots and cried! The dr. says he is doing great and we can come back at 6 months for next check up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPA and HAYDEN!!! We can't wait to see you in 5 more days!! We hope you both have very, very happy birthdays!! We had to take a picture of our Christmas socks today!! (This one is for you, Jenny!!) We are getting ready for our big trip to Texas!! Mommy needs to start packing all of my stuff now, as I know she will overpack for me! She thinks I always have to look cute! Wait until I can tell her that I don't care! :) Love to all!

Lessons and Blessons!

While corresponding with a dear friend this week of all that God is teaching me these days she said I should write a book called "lessons and blessons" so I thought I would at least post a blog about it.
God is teaching me so much! It has been a challenge and learning adventure to now live on one income, although we know that is what God has called us to and what He wants for us. It is amazing how God is teaching me to live within our means and use the resources we have! It is awesome. I made some money from consulting in Oct. and I convinced Brian that we should use that money for all of Christmas(anything related to Christmas) and he reluctanlty agreed. I have had so much fun seeing how God can stretch this money.I put all the cash in an envelope and have kept track of where all the $ has gone. First we tithed off of it and then we both got haircuts on it and then I have used it for an ornament exchange with MOPS and then three presents for my neices and nephews and one cousin baby and then 2 $10 gift exchanges with my family. We have also been able to rent a movie off of the money once and get Sonic hamburgers one day on it. Any left over we hope to go on a date on. It has been so fun. I decided my gift to all other friends and family will be our Christmas card and picture that I am getting ready to send. :)) Oh, another blessing is that Brian found $6 in the parking lot at Walmart the other night and $5 in our front yard last week! Another blessing is we cashed in some world points on our credit card and got a gc to Chili's. Brian wanted to use it the other day during a snow day and I was perfectly content with eating lunch here at home(which you know is a God thing, because I used to not like to eat sandwiches and eat lunch at home)!!! I now love my grilled turkey and cheese sandwich, apple sauce and pretzels for lunch. I know I am a dork, but God is showering me with lessons and blessings. Wow!! I am so grateful to be at home with Pearson and so grateful that God loves me so much to open my eyes to these new lessons! All praise and honor to HIM!!

Snow day!!!

Hello all!! It snowed again!! This time the Daddy had a "snow day" from school! I think I enjoy snow days as a SAHM just as much as I did as a teacher! This way Brian was home to help me today! We had a fun day relaxing and being silly, hence the picture of Brian playing his "broom guitar" while sweeping the dry snow off of the sidewalk. At times the snow is so dry you can't make snowman with it. But when we can make a snowman we will post a picture of it. These are a few pictures that a friend took for us yesterday, we will pick a family one and a pic of Pearson to put in our Christmas card that I am still working on. :))

Here is our precious angel all decked out! Love that smiley boy! This is what he wore to MOPS today! Precious new outfit from Cousin Jenni and Chris! Thanks guys!! I was so blessed with great food, fellowship, and a fun ornament exchange. We also made a glass ornament craft. This time Pearson was such a good boy! No fussing, yea!!!
