Great weekend!

We have had a great weekend! We have hung out as a family and just had fun together. Today was a beautiful, sunny day so we went to the park. Pearson got to swing again and seems to like it again!

Pearson is 8 months old!!

Well, today's photo shoot was a doozy(is that a word?) I took the first set of pictures this morning while he was happy and well rested. Then I forgot the sign and wasn't sure that was "the" outfit for 8 month pictures. So I tried again this afternoon after nap time. He wasn't too interested in picture taking at this time. He wanted to fall out of the chair, eat the 8 month old sign, and fall out of the chair again. So note to Mommy, at 9 month pics have Daddy home with us to help! I have done fine doing them on my own for many months, but now he is sooo mobile!! Hope you enjoy! The last one is the best one, so watch the slideshow all the way through!

Much love to all!

Pearson's new tricks!

Smiley boy in new hand me downs from Cousin Mason! Thanks again!

Pearson is starting to pull up on things! Here he is trying so hard to get more toys out of the toy basket, other than the 10 things I already pulled out for him. The look on his face here says "Hey, I need more toys out, Mom!" He also got a new big car seat this weekend. He was getting so long and heavy for the infant carrier one. He seems happy in it so far. :)I like it because it is easier to get him in and out!

We love his new doggy towel from Nana and Papa! Thanks guys!!

He can also pull up on his crib even with the bumper pad out and mattress lowered. I think we will have to lower it again! He is too smart for us!

Now he is really moving and shaking. Here is the awaited crawling video. Hope you don't mind the diaper, I very rarely let the little guy hang out in his diaper, but this time I did. :)

Molly and Jaxon came to see us!

My best friend from college, Molly and her son, Jaxon came to see us while we were in Texas. They live in Marble Falls and they got in the car and drove 4 hours to come see us while we were at my sister's. We had a fabulous time reconnecting and visiting. Her son is 9 months old, so we shared baby stories. My mom and sister babysat while we went out to dinner! What a treat!! Thanks sis and mom!! Thanks Molly for coming to see us! It was such a delight and heart warmer to see you!

A few of Pearson's firsts...

Pearson had a few first experiences in his life while in Texas. He swung in a big swing at the park and loved it!!! He sat in a big high chair at a resturant for the first time. He ate cheerios for the first time too. Those little things keep a guy busy at a restaurant. :) He ate banana off of his tray by himself for the first time(Thanks, Uncle Scott!)

Pearson and the fam

I didn't get as many pictures on this Texas trip as I usually do due to the nature of the trip. But here are a few! Great Uncle David loved playing with Pearson. He would get on the floor and play with him. So did Great Uncle Dean, I just didn't get any pictures of them together. Sorry.
Uncle Keith loves Pearson!

Pearson and his cousins

Pearson had a great time playing with many of his cousins while we were in Texas.

There's no place like home...

Hi friends and family,
We made it to CO safely on Monday. There's no place like home! While we had a great, yet sad, memorable time in Texas there is no place like home. We are glad to be home sleeping in our own beds, showering and bathing in our own baths and so on. We are very grateful for the time we had in Texas with our sweet families. God's timing was perfect as we were able to be with Carol Ann during her last days here on earth. Thank you for your prayers, thoughts, cards, emails, and comments on the blog. Please continue to pray for us as we adjust to life again and as we grieve the loss of our sweet mom.

I have lots of pictures to upload and share of Pearson from the three weeks. He is growing so fast and crawling now. So stay tuned for pics!
Love,
T, B and P

Gammy is in Heaven Now!

Dear friends,

Hi. Thank you for your prayers this week. For those of you who may not have known Brian's sweet mom, Carol Ann, has been really struggling these past two weeks. She passed away this morning, April 4th, at 8:11am. She is now dancing with Jesus. Brian and his brothers were by her side when she passed. The family is sad, yet relieved to know she in a much better place. Although it has been a hard, sad day. I will miss this special lady so very much. She was more to me than my mother in law. She was my friend! I tear up every time I think of her today. I am so grateful she got to know our precious Pearson and I ache that he will not know her. I know God allowed His timing to work out the way it did. She touched so many lives by her sweet spirit. My friend Heather wrote a beautiful post about her on her blog and she only knew her for about 10 months. Thanks Heather for a sweet post. :)

Brian will go back to CO to work for a few days next week and I will stay here in Texas so that Pearson does not have to fly twice. Carol Ann so graciously wants us to have her van so we will drive back to CO. The memorial service will be next Saturday.

Please continue to pray for this sweet family! Much love to all!

PS- Please be patient with me as I will post when I can. :)
