Corbin is 7 months old!

I promise I do intend to blog about other things that sweet Corbin's age! Oh well, I do blog more often at Teaching My Blessings if you want hop over there for more updates.

Sweet Corbin is now 7 months old!
A few things I want to remember at this stage:
-He is such a happy baby! He laughs, smiles and giggles a lot!
-He can now sit up all by himself. Which is great! I can sit him down on the floor and he just plays. He is beginning to get up on his hands and knees and rocks, but no crawling yet and that is ok with this mama!
-Monthly pictures just get more and more interesting! Today he fell head first out of the chair. Oops! I caught him don't worry!
-He loves to eat. He likes bananas, green beans, avocados, apple sauce, rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and squash.
-He just recently moved to a big car seat, no more carrier. Boy, that thing was getting heavy!
-He loves his big brothers and just laughs at them! And they love him too!
-Thankfully he is a laid back, easy going baby. He just goes wherever we take him and goes with the flow.
-He takes a good morning and afternoon nap. He still likes to wake up at least once at night to eat and I am hoping to break this lovely habit over Christmas break! :)

Overall, he is the perfect addition to our family and now I can't remember what life was like before God gave us Corbin!

Corbin is 6 months old!!!!!

Where have 6 months gone? I can't believe this little munchkin is 6 months old already! He is a pure delight! Brian and I often say he is the "icing on the cake"! He is such a happy, laid back third baby! He goes wherever we tote him and even when his needs get met later than he would desire he is a happy baby! He really only cries if he is hungry or tired.

Get ready for picture overload. He is such a cutie pie!

Our Halloween was a little different this year as the stomach bug hit our house big time! Thankfully Corbin, nor I, were affected! Thank the Lord above! So he got to wear this sweet jack o lattern outfit once and then again for our 6 month photo shoot. :)
He has so many sweet bibs from his big brothers that I have to snap a shot of them when I can! He often needs them as he is a spitter!

He loves his high chair and loves to eat oatmeal, bananas, apple sauce, sweet potatoes and avocados.
We loved going to all of Daddy's games this year. But we are also glad they are now over as that means Daddy is home more with us now! It's a love-hate relationship with football season!
This sweet big brother had been patiently waiting for it to get colder and for Corbin to be big enough for him to wear this Baby Einstein outfit! It was one of Pearson's favorite outfits! He was so happy this morning that Corbin could wear it! Pearson still loves Baby Einstein, especially Bard!
Love their smiles!!!
Hair cut day for mama so we took some mirror pics! Hair won't look like that again for another 6 more weeks!
These big brothers run to greet Corbin each morning!
So every month I take month I take pictures of the boys until their 1st bday. It gets more and more fun each month. Here he is about to fall out of the chair!
 All smiles!
After pics and playing so hard he fell asleep on the floor!
At his 6 month check up he weighed in at 18lbs. He is a good napper and we are still working on sleeping through the night. Eventually we'll get there. Makes for a tired mama, but that's ok. He is so precious! I am truly grateful for my amazing, happy, healthy three sons! I am one blessed mama!

You can thank my friend Ashley for the inspiration to write about sweet Corbin. We both have happy 6 month olds and when I read her sweet posts I feel an urge to blog! Thanks, Ash!

Corbin is 4 months old!

Life has been wonderful and busy since this little guy joined our family! Corbin is a delight! He is growing so fast! He is now four months old, 15 pounds, and cooing and laughing a lot! He is so much fun! He is a flexible, happy baby. He still likes to eat every 3-4 hours. We are working on the sleeping all night thing, he still likes to eat around 2-3am, which is making me a tired mama but that is ok, I know it won't last forever.Right?!?! Just kidding.

We went on our first family vacation this summer. Corbin got to see where his big brothers were born and meet for the first time some of our sweet friends in CO.

We went to a baseball game together as a family. Corbin was such a trooper as we didn't take the stroller in so he just got passed around between Brian and I. Also, big brother's Elmo hat came in handy to block the sun. Mama forgot the big rimmed blue hat at our friend's house.

Corbin also has had the pleasure of meeting more extended family, particularly his name sake, my grandfather.

Thomas John meets Thomas Corbin! Precious time!

This sweet baby boy truly is one of a kind and such a blessing from God! I thank God daily for allowing me to be his mommy!

Happy Birthday to our Big 5 year old!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old!! Where did 5 years go!?! I am one proud mama of this precious boy! He is smart, loving, curious, and creative! He is a wonderful big brother and such a precious child. We celebrated his birthday together with family and friends at our local recreation center.  He loves all things superhero, especially Batman so we had a Batman theme party. We rented the rock climbing wall and a classroom to use for the party. It was a blast and worked out really well! All the kids really seemed to enjoy rock climbing. I think it was a unique, fun activity.

I saw where another friend of mine interviews her son on his birthday each year and then blogs about it. I thought this was an excellent idea, so I am copying her. :)

So I asked JP a few questions and these are his responses:

-Who is your favorite superhero?
I LOVE them all!

-What is your favorite food?
Pepperoni pizza and pretzels

-What is your favorite TV show?
Super Hero Squad, Batman from 1970s, and Doc McStuffins

What is your favorite song?
On My Lips by Ross Parsley

What is your favorite resturant?
Chick Fil A

What is your favorite color?
orange first, then green

My favorite thing to do with mommy is go on a date.

My favorite thing to do with daddy is go on a date

I loved all of his answers and loved that I knew the answers to all of these before he ever answered. I do love knowing my children so well. We do try to go on 1:1 dates as often as possible. Guess we need to schedule on really soon for him!

Happy Birthday, JP! We love you!!!

Welcoming our 3rd Blessing!

I am thrilled, honored, and humbled to introduce to you our sweet 3rd blessing from above! Thomas Corbin joined us on Tuesday. We are all doing well. The big brothers are so proud and helpful.

The big brothers holding him for the 1st time!
Ready to head home to our family!

Our Family of 5!

After many years of trying to start a family God had a plan for us all along in His timing! We feel extremely blessed to be the parents to these three blessings! We do not take our call to parent them lightly!

A few things I've learned this week are:
  • It is ok to ask for help. As hard as that can be for this mama, it is necessary this week.
  •  Our big brothers need us to still be consistent and loving in our parenting and discipline.
  • Nursing is a wonderful, joyous thing, but a little painful and time consuming in the beginning.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was a fun, family day! I shared the day by expressing love to my three special men through food!

For breakfast we shared heart shaped banana pancakes.

CA is really more excited about his Valentine candy than the pancake!

I saw this idea called a "Heart Attack" somewhere in blogosphere (sorry I don't remember where or I would credit that blogger). So we made this "door of love" on the door entering our home through the garage for Daddy who works so hard for our family so that I can be home with these precious boys! We cut out hearts and wrote what we love about Daddy on them. He said the best part of his day was driving in the garage to see all of these notes!
In honor of Valentine's Day we had a red dinner with spaghetti with red sauce, red jello in the shapes of hearts, strawberries, and red cranberry juice! It was so fun to use our china and fancy glasses!
I even tried to use a heart shaped cookie cutter for sauce. Try is the key word here.
Here are my three loves ready to enjoy dinner in the dark by candlelight. It didn't last too long because we needed to see our food. :)
After dinner we played Candyland and then the boys and I baked chocolate chip cookies together.

What a fun day we had expressing more love to each other!  Although we try to express our love and appreciation daily!

Our 3rd Blessing!

In April these two sweet blessings will become big brothers and we will welcome our 3rd blessing of another baby boy into our family! We are thrilled, excited, and still in awe at God's goodness to our family! JP and CA went with us for our sonogram a few weeks ago. They are so sweet to pray for "baby brother growing in Mommy's tummy" daily. They say these same words every night. Too precious!
